2016 has seen significant changes to the Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act. It is an aspect of the employment relationship that affects many employers and staff. The Act now provides greater leave entitlements for a greater number of eligible persons and is considerably more flexible in the administration of parental leave.Employers must be familiar with the new provisions and understand how the Act now works to fulfil their obligations in respect of employee entitlements.
