LEARNING OBJECTIVE

This programme will provide participants with an outline of the planning process and a framework which is appropriate for the systematic solving of most problems. By being systematic in both planning and problem solving you will improve the efficiency and accuracy of your decision making and in doing so avoid costly mistakes.

DESIGNED FOR

Managers, team leaders and project managers who would like to gain a better understanding of techniques to handle problems and make better decisions.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
  • Recognise and understand your approach to the process of planning
  • Competently apply useful planning techniques such as SWOT Analysis, 7S and PESTLE
  • Identify more clearly your own problem solving style and determine what, if anything, requires modification
  • Competently apply useful problem solving techniques such as Brainstorming, Cause and Effect, 80/20 Rule and Multiple Why Charts
  • Enhance your personal creativity in both planning and problem solving and reduce the stress of problem solving and decision making
  • Understand the value of your team for problem solving
  • Increase your confidence in the efficiency and effectiveness of your abilities and this will communicate itself to others

Eligibility

Small and medium size businesses may qualify for vouchers to help pay for services such as training workshops, courses and coaching that build the management capabilities of their owners, operators and key managers. Approved businesses will receive a voucher for up to 50% of the course investment fee.
